How to introduce your kitty to the new home:
Kitties can't resist a bag or box, and most cats take quickly to the idea of a secure and cozy sleeping spot. Too, their natural, inquisitive nature has them exploring their new pet house in no time. If, however, your cat seems reluctant to settle in, placing his or her favorite toy inside may help overcome this hesitancy. We recommend that you not feed your pet inside the house. Place his/her food a short distance away, in the morning, feeding only what they will eat. Then remove the dish until dinner, and again feeding only what they will eat. Then bring in the food dish for the night. This prevents unwelcome visitors and lessens challenges to your pet. Most cats will sleep in the house during the day and spend evenings sitting on top defending it from intruders.
If you purchase a Breezeway, we recommend that you place it against the house after your pet has become accustomed to coming and going from the house.
Always place the house so the wind and rain do not blow inside the doorway. It may be necessary to purchase the Breezeway to accomplish this.
Your pet will let you know if you've placed the house where it will be used, just watch and wait.
