Dear Pam and Mike,
I have to tell you that I started out with one of your houses and wasn't sure if the cats would use it. How wrong I was! We have four feral cats outside of our house now and we've added on and added more houses as our feline family grew. I have outdoor-rated heated pads in each one and feel so much better when it's cold outside that the cats are safe and warm. Thanks for a quality product made in the USA!

Just wanted to share some most recent pictures of one of our ferral cats enjoying their home. I bought this duplex for the ferral cats back in Oct '09 I believe, right before the cold. We have 6 ferral cats that we know of and 3 of them use this house on a regular basis.

It took them awhile to get used to the house & trust it, but now we see them coming out of it quite often. The cat that the picture is of is one of the more tame ferral cats & we have named her mama because a little over 1yr ago before we got her fixed she had kittens.

I looked at all kinds of cat shelters & we opted to get this one. It is insulated on two of the four sides. It is also very nice the way it all comes apart so easily because I have had to clean it out from the heavy snows & dirty/wet cats.

Wow. I got it out of the box, she walked right in and made herself at home.

This generally nervous animal is so content I'm afraid I might have to buy a second basic house for indoors.

Really, I'm impressed with your understanding of cats. Can't help but wonder how you came by it.

Dear Pam and Mike,
Last year I purchased your basic cat house (INSULATED), and two breezeways. The ferel cat I take care of at work just loves the house. Given my severe asthma and allergies preclude my being able to give this wonderful cat a home, your cat house gives me so much peace of mind, especially in very bad winter weather. Thanks to your cat house, I know I am doing my best for this cat.

Hello!!

I had to write and tell you how much our house is loved! We named the kitty in the attached photo Toby - he has no home and looks to us for food and shelter. I got tired of worrying about him in the winter - he wants nothing to do with us unless I'm giving him food - so the house was the perfect solution. He took to it right away and now I sleep better knowing he has a safe haven when he wants it.

The insulated basic cathouse arrived Friday.

If there are any other potential customers out there who are on a limited income, as I am, and have a feral cat or two, or any cat that they are worrying about with the upcoming winter, this basic house is worth the money. Blackie (my feral backyard kitten who's been sleeping in a little dirt hole under my bushes) was sleeping in his house by the second day! And he loves the little blanket that came with it.

Just wanted to let you know how pleased I am with the "Basic Cat House" I ordered recently. It is cleverly designed and solidly constructed, clearly built with the needs of the cat in mind. Kitty took to it right away and has been spending his nights in it, curled up on the "Cat Mat" (heated pad). The breezeway is such a nice addition to keep the wind out. It makes me happy to look out the window and see him curled up snug and dry in his house. I'm very happy we found it. Thanks for a great product!

Bit's house arrived just in time!
We're in Southeastern PA and having our first rain since August 20, 2007. I enticed him in for a visit with a feather toy prior to the rain. It is now storming and he is in the house of his own volition! Thank you for your caring and compassionate creation.

I wanted to let you know how much I like my cat house which arrived today.
I have a blind, elderly FIV+ cat , Stevie, who lives in a large enclosure on my deck. I adopted him this summer, and was concerned about his winter housing. Needless to say, he is going to be warm, cozy, and safe in this house! I am very appreciative of how nicely constructed the basic house is, and also of how affordably priced it is. I wanted to write you a quick note to say how very pleased I am with the new house!
My outdoor feral kittens just love to go inside and curl up while some of the adult feral cats like perching on the roof from time to time. It is not uncommon for me to find three of the four kitten inside at the same time . I am sure it will not be as easy for all of them to fit inside the current house at the same time when they get a little bigger, so I am already saving my pennies to buy another house or a second floor for this one. Thanks for the great product!

We received our outdoor cat house yesterday and it looks great...
just like the one we purchased from you last year. Runtie and Socks are two female ferals that we were able to trap, spay, and re-release in our back yard. The house we got for Socks, last year, has really provided her a very nice little home.

Dear Kaufmans,
We are so happy with our new Basic Cat Houses! When our mom first put them up, we were kind of leery (she had gotten us "dogloos" in the past, and we didn't like them one bit—they're for DOGS after all). But she just left them up next to our regular beds, and let us explore them on our own. Finally, our famous curiosity got the better of us, and once we went in our cat houses, we were sold! The weather was very warm, so we really liked the fact that you can take the roof off...and now that the rain has started, we stay warm and dry. We also like the back door (our "emergency exit"), and when the weather gets really stormy, we know the breezeway will keep out the wind and rain. We don't know how mere humans could have designed something so perfect for cats, but we're glad you did!

I just want to tell you that you sell the best present I ever bought for my cats, the only problem is they fight over who is going to stay in it. The first night we put it outside Smokie moved right in, and we had a terrible rain storm but he wouldn't leave the comfort of the house. We are going on vacation for the next month, but you can bet when we get back we will be buying at least one more if they still love it that much or they haven't killed one another.

Thanks for the info Pam. I have to say, you make a very fine product. A couple of weeks ago one of our strays (Tiny) was sick and she stayed in her house for 48 hours straight. I kept offering her food and water but she refused it. Temperatures here at the time were as low as 5 degrees and we had about a foot of snow. After two days of rest in her house she emerged and was back to her old self. Without the protection of her snug little house I'm sure her recovery would have taken a lot longer orÊmore likely she would have continued to get sicker. Keep up the good work!

Hi, this is Laura in Dade City. I received my little outdoor house today and I am so impressed by the flawless construction. It is perfect! Even the way it was packed was perfect! It will be used for feral cats that I am permanently removing from an unhappy place to my sanctuary that I am creating. I hope to move the first cat this weekend.
